Note From The Core Team
Knowledge is power. When knowledge is shared, however, it becomes more powerful. This knowledge is what we’d like to impart to you all in the Erudite, which means having or showing great knowledge or learning.
The aim of our newspaper is to encourage students and teachers alike to focus on important news that can affect all of us as humans and to help form an opinion of sorts on these issues.
Our newspaper highlights pertinent issues on local, national and international levels, and on occasion, some events that have taken place at school as well. The newspaper also aims to showcase the perspectives of both teachers and students, in the form of the Teacher’s Perspectives and Student Submissions sections respectively. We also have a Community outreach section to showcase community service projects initiated by students. To help cultivate a reading habit in students, we also include a Book Recommendations section that provides suggested books to read for each grade by our very own librarian, Mr Arun Kumar.
Not only would we like to thank you readers for reading our carefully put-together newspaper, but we’d also like to sincerely appreciate the efforts of those who contributed to the success of the Erudite.
To all the reporters, who put together every article in this newspaper (mostly on time); to the photographers who took the pictures; to the technology team who helped create our website in such a short time; we thank you all for working on the newspaper even with the many other commitments you may have had.
To Sirisha Ma’am, who helped get our plan approved; to Mohseena Ma’am and Sanchita Ma’am, who gave us valuable inputs for the newspaper; to the teachers who submitted their perspectives; and above all, to Venkat Sir, who we tirelessly pestered to get things rolling, and who guided us at every step of the way; we thank you all for helping us out even with your packed schedules.
We, the core team, sincerely hope that you take some knowledge away from our newspaper, and gain more awareness on the issues we hope to highlight in every issue of the International section’s school newspaper:
